Setting up the MagicQ Console

To send Targets positions to a MagicQ console, you have to use the PSN protocol.

Hardware connection

The Kratos station and the MagicQ console must be connected to the same Ethernet network. - As PSN is a multicast protocol, the Kratos station doesn't need to have a Ethernet address in the same subnet as the MagicQ console. They must just be in the same network.

MagicQ setup

To receive PSN information on MagicQ, you have to follow these steps :

  • Make sure you can ping the Kratos Station from the MagicQ console.

You can use the ...IP.IP.IP.IP command in the MagicQ console. (For example, ...192.168.1.1)

  • Activate Tracker Receive in the MagicQ console and set it to PSN/SpotMe (Setup > Network > TrackerRX) Setup Tracker RX to PSN/SpotMe

  • Make sure "Remote control" and "Remote access" are enabled ( Setup > Multi Console > Enable remote control/access) Enable Remote Control and Remote Access

Check your setup

If everything is set up correctly, you should see trackers in the MagicQ Console. To monitor the trackers, you can travel to Macro > View Autom > View Trackers

Check that the trackers are updating

Note that the trackers ids are offseted by one in the MagicQ console. For example, if you have a tracker with id 1 in Kratos, it will appear as tracker 2 in MagicQ.

In this window you can also swap axis if needed, or invert (put -1 in axis Scale column) the axis.
