Modules status

This page shows the different status you can encounter for each module in Kratos, their meaning and the possible fixes.

As all the communications are performer via network, it is important to understand networking basics to be able to troubleshoot issues. If you encounter communication problems between Kratos and third party systems, please perform the following checks :

  • Check that the network configuration of the Kratos station and the third party system are corresponding (IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS).
  • Check that no firewall is blocking the communication.
  • Check if the third party system is reachable from the Kratos station (ping).

On Kratos side, the most common check to perform are :

  • Check that Kratos Engine is enabled in the show parameter menu.
  • Check that the Module you want to use is enabled.
  • Check that the Actions and Action Group you intend to use are enabled.

PSN module

Status Description Fix
img The module is enabled Kratos PSN server is running
img The module is disabled Enable the module

OSC module

Status Description Fix
img The module is enabled All good on Kratos side
img The connection to the input port is established You can receive OSC messages via this module
img The module is disabled Enable the module

Kratos uses the UDP protocol to transmit OSC. This means that it provides no guarantees for message delivery and so Kratos can't know if the connection to the third party system is established. To know if the connection is established, you need to send a message manually via an Action to the third party system and see if the message is received.
